Winner. This Master Sommelier joined the staff at The Breakers
in November 2000 and has had an extremely positive impact
on its overall wine program. Wine sales at the resort were
up 15% in 2002, and server training was intensified. But
this is just the beginning of her accomplishments.
Winemaker of the Year:
We turn our attention to this medium sized Sonoma County
winery, which is producing some of the best value, quality
varietals in California, from its Sonoma Valley Zinfandel
to its wonderful single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. We
detail nine elements that have helped this winery thoroughly
upgrade its wines and its reputation.
